This 61-year-old woman from Phoenix, AZ came to our breast reconstruction center for consideration of delayed breast reconstruction.  She underwent bilateral mastectomy two years prior and now wished regain size and shape in clothing with reconstructed breasts.  She had tissue expanders placed in a delayed fashion and ultimately had them exchanged for silicone, cohesive "gummy bear" implants once she was happy with the size of her breast mounds.  We then performed nipple reconstruction followed by nipple areolar tattoo to complete her breast reconstruction.  She is ecstatic about her reconstructed breasts and reports increased self-confidence, femininity, and has achieved a "wholeness" that she did not have following her mastectomies.  She is also neither limited in her clothing options nor troubled by putting on/taking off her breast prostheses, wihch were very heavy and bulky.  Case by Dr. Andres
